Classy Ladies

I love this layout! I have never used black in any of my layouts and I found this all a bit exciting. It is 3 pictures of 2 friends of mine during Christmas past. One of the friends gave me a whole bunch of pictures, and these were the last three I had left because I've scrapped them all!! Love pictures!!

I used the sketch at Unpubbed- it is a layout lift of Corey's layout. I then used my fave tube top as inspiration because over at I Inspire Me there challenge this week was to use clothing as inspiration. I missed playing the week before because my boyfriend has my camera. And also, over at Scrap Your Crap the challenge is to use an inspiration book. I used Canadian Scrapbooker magazine (Summer 2008 Edition) that I recieved in my yummy blog winnings from Groovey Groover- Vanessa! For inspiration I was reading about using photo corners and that they don't have to be the ones you buy in the stores- so using the book as inspiration I made mine from flowers :)

Here is a picture of the shirt I used for inspiration:

Buds

Here is a layout I just completed of myself and my new friend that I have met during my Education degree at University. We've became best of buds and just a few weeks ago I went to her hometown for the first time, it was quite interesting.

I used the Creative Scrappers- Sketch # 11 sketch, it's a great one and I really enjoyed using it. I even attempted to stitch a little on it, exciting to try new things!

And this layout falls under TWO challenges over at Blog Til You Drop!. I mainly started it for the Recycling Challenge celebrating Bev's 40th Birthday! Wellll...the big pink flower that is used, was "recycled" from my old shower curtain that I took down tonight. I loved the shower curtain, but shortly after I got it, my friends thought it would be funny during a little get together to fill the pockets full of "bottles". I wasn't going to put the picture up (because it has beer bottles in it), but it was funny after I got over the fact that they tore it up on me. So yesterday I went out and bought a new shower curtain and tonight when I was throwing the old one away I had an "ah ha!" moment and thought it woud be great to cut the flowers out to use...heehee. I'm so nice I even gave half of them to my roomie as she scraps too!
And this layout also incorporates paint- which I hardly ever use, but when I saw the monthly challenge at Blog Til You Drop!- was to paint something, I remembered the part bottles of paint that my mom gave me after her wedding. We painted 50 wooden boxes to put cake in for the guests, and we had 4 part bottles left, so I took them back here with me. Woooo, another recycling thing...heehee. I had this boring brown cardstock in my stash, so I got out my antique white paint and just painted in random directions and whatnot, then I cut my letters out of it. I loved it so much that I kept the extra pieces and I will definitely use it again.

Sweet Baby Boy

One of my friends from high school just had her first baby-pretty exciting! So this is the card I designed for her using the layout from Card Positioning System Sketch. It is also a new card, so I am also entering it in The Card Grotto Round Two- create a new card!

I can't wait to give this to my friend and their new baby, now I have to figure out a great gift! I am thinking a monogramed blankie or something :)

My First Year!

These are all pictures of my godsons first year :) He's one and a half now, its exciting to see him grow. I only get to see him every few months, and I just love seeing the changes in him. So for this layout I followed the sketch over at 52 Sketches...52 Weeks # 30.

My New Favorite Place of Summer '08

This is a layout of a place I visited with my friend this summer- Cape St. Mary's here in Newfoundland. It was so beautiful. This layout was designed using the sketch at 52 Sketches...52 Weeks- Week # 29. This layout also works for the Sisterhood of Scrap challenge for this week which is to use the word "Favorite" on our layouts. Glad I had a chance to participate in this one, I missed last weeks because I was at my Moms wedding. So I guess 3/4 isn't too bad.

We Will Miss You BEARY Much!

Yay! A new card- my second one eva! This is for the challenge over at The Card Grotto which was to use their card sketch (yummy goodies involved too) and this one also works for the My World blog candy giveaway. That one involved making a "Goodbye Card" and I just loved my little bear stamp, it's the first time I ever used her, and I think she's right cute :)
